This truck ideally needs to now become a farm or construction truck once again.
A/C doesn't work. The fan belt broke off in 2006, which has been replaced. When it did, it cut the metal tube on the A/C unit. Up until then it worked and kept us happy when we were in Denton, TX and Gainesville, FL.
Heat worked last winter
Interior door handles need to be replaced or most roll down window(s) to reach over to open door. Easily fixed with handle mechanism purchase from junk yard.
Pain is blistered and peeling off.
Wiper blades will need to be replaced.
Some problems with doors and tailgate which might be solved by buying replacements from the junkyards as well.
The seats and other items might be replaced depending on your needs,
May 2009 had oil change before driving round trip to Baltimore, MD.
I am a female who has enjoyed camping extensively with this truck. It now needs a owner who can work on it himself/herself. I am more of a TWU alum nerd versus mechanic without a husband to handle this or work on it. My 17 year old son attends college here in Denton and is a pre-med nerd who never had the opportunity to learn to work on vehicles as well; however, he has taken it be to serviced regularly and has changed out the air filter recently as well himself.
This would be a ideal back up farm truck for the price or trade value we establish.
I paid $3,000.00 for it from a neighbor a couple of years ago. Then I have put close to $3,000.00 in it in tires, service, maintenance, parts, etc. since then. Plus we have driven it a lot back and forth to FL, NC, MD, and TX. The current value is still $3,000.00 - $3,500.00 we have been told over the past year even if it ends up only being used on a farm.
