What I Have To Offer : What I have to offer is a darling Main Street apartment with balcony in the charming town of Highlands, North Carolina. Highlands is a quiet and quaint town nestled on a plateau in southwestern NC AT 4,118 feet.

Pictures will be made available upon request.

Unspoiled by fast food chains (or chains of any kind, pretty much),and cheap tee shirt or souvenir shops, Highlands has been featured over and over in high-end travel magazines, on HGTV, etc. It is a high-end resort town, home to second, third, even fourth homes to millionaires and billionaires.

Natural beauty abounds: majestic mountain vistas, waterfalls, hiking trails. Life here is laid-back, enjoyed at a slower pace than that of big cities, 'tho it is within easy access to Atlanta, Charlotte, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and closer still to Greenville (SC) and Asheville, NC - home of Biltmore Estates and The Grove Park Inn. Small it is, but aside from taking in the beautiful scenery Highlands has much more to offer. Spend a day of relaxation at one of the day spas: golf, play a game of tennis, swim at the Rec Park. You may even want to mine for gems in an old mine just a few miles away...After all, North Carolina has more precious gems than any other state, and hat you find you keep! Art galleries and boutiques abound, as do fine dining opportunities at four and five star restaurants. There are also several other wonderful restaurants so the selectionis great for any budget. Want to spend a dinner on the town? Entertainment is available at The Instant Theatre, Community Theatre and Highlands Playhouse. The Performing Arts Center offers classical music as well as other types to suit a variety of tastes. Many of the restaurants also provide live music. Dress here is more casual, but we do like to do-it-up too! It isn't unusual to be seated between blue jeans and furs here!!

During Spring, Summer, and Autumn there are arts and craft fairs, festivals, etc. to enjoy. Winter is quiter with several of the businesses taking a break for a couple of months, but there are still things to be enjoyed: Culinary Week-end in early November, the town Christmas parade, lighting of the tree, and other activities.

Not only is Highlands located close to Asheville and Biltmore Estates, but also to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee, NC, and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Of course you may fly into any one of the above-mentioned airports, but there is also a small airport for private use in Macon County, just twenty miles outside of Highlands.
What I'm Looking For : Currently I'm looking for a swap within 50 to 100 miles or so of Yellowstone National Park, or in Bozeman, Montana, Jackson Hole, Wyoming area, Kalispel,Whitefish,Big Fork, or Glacier Park, Montana or Island Park, Idaho for two to three weeks in June, 2008. Preferable dates would be June 5th thru June 19th, maybe thru the 26th. If you have no lodging to swap, I would be willing to exchange for round trip air-fare and car rental and lodging expense.
I am not seeking high-end lodging, but must be clean and comfortable (for two adults) with kitchen facilities.

Non-smokers only and No pets! These terms apply to two people only!
