How to Enable Cookies
To enable cookies, follow the instructions below for the browser version you are using.
Mozilla Firefox 2.x (PC)
Click Tools > Options.
Click Privacy in the top panel.
Select the checkbox labeled 'Accept cookies from sites.'
Click OK.
Mozilla Firefox (Mac)
Go to the Firefox drop-down menu.
Select Preferences.
Click Privacy.
Under Cookies, select the option 'Allow sites to set Cookies.'
Mozilla Firefox (1.0 final release and earlier)
Go to the "Tools" menu. Select "Options".
Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel.
Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
Click "OK" to save changes.
Netscape 7.1/Mozilla 5.0
Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
Click on the arrow next to "Privacy & Security" in the scrolling window to expand.
Under "Privacy & Security", select "Cookies."
Select "Enable all cookies".
Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
Click Start > Control Panel. (Note: with Windows XP Classic View, click the Windows Start button > Settings > Control Panel).
Double-click the Internet Options icon.
Click the Privacy tab.
Click the Advanced button.
Select the option 'Override automatic cookie handling' under the Cookies section in the Advanced Privacy Settings window.
Select the 'Accept' or 'Prompt' option under 'First-party Cookies.'
Select the 'Accept' or 'Prompt' option under 'Third-party Cookies.' (Note: if you select the 'Prompt' option, you'll be prompted to click OK every time a website attempts to send you a cookie.)
In the Internet Options window, click OK to exit.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0+
Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
Click on the "Privacy" tab.
Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
Click on the "Security" tab.
Click the "Custom Level" button.
Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
To enable: Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
Select "Internet Options" from the View menu.
Click on the "Advanced" tab.
Scroll down to find "Cookies" within the "Security" section.
To enable: Select "Always accept cookies".
Click "OK".
Netscape Communicator 4.x
Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
Find the "Cookies" section in the "Advanced" category.
To enable: Select "Accept all cookies" (or "Enable all cookies").
Click "OK".
AOL 9.0
From the AOL Toolbar, select Settings.
Select Internet [Web] Options
Select Use your Internet Explorer Settings to set advanced browser options.
Select the Privacy tab
Select Advanced
Deselect override automatic cookie handling button
Click OK to exit.
AOL 8.0
From the AOL Toolbar, select Settings.
Select Preferences
Select Internet Properties (WWW)
Select the Privacy tab
Select Advanced
Deselect override automatic cookie handling button
Click OK to exit.
Mac IE 5.x
Click Edit
Select Preferences
Under the Receiving Files option, select Cookies
Under "When receiving cookies:" select the desired level of cookie acceptance
Under "When receiving cookies:" select the desired level of cookie acceptance
Click OK to finish
Mac IE 4.x
Go to My AOL on the menu bar
Pick WWW
Go to the Advanced Settings option on the Category menu
Click "Cookies"
When receiving cookies: Click "Never Ask"
Click OK
Safari
Missing client id message fix.
Go to the Safari drop-down menu.
Select Preferences.
Click Security in the top panel.
Under 'Accept Cookies' select the option 'Always.'
Close browser and sign up again for new setting to take effect.
Google Chrome
In the Tools menu, select Options.
Select the 'Under the Hood' tab.
Select 'Allow all cookies' from the 'Cookie settings' drop down menu.
Click Close to return to the browser window.
